Always enjoyed reading your post been lurking for yrs til I had enough and had to post to try to get help. I do understand and I pray for your health to get you to a better place. Look forward to hearing from you soon take your break and take care of you we love you and you can and will get better. I wish I had a quick fix for you but I do not. Thank you for sharing all you have shared with us and see you soon....... till then rest, detox, and never forget the simple things that help such as garlic, honey, lauricidin, horseradish, I am getting a lot better with them I am self treating I am retired vet can not work due to Lyme. But soon I hope my life will be returned to me. I also doing one 100 doxy daily just because a microbiologist says any more puts in cyst form. He healed just on garlic and 100 mg of doxy had Lyme 10yrs and he did thre days pills and one off then three and one I am doing it and now I can walk better no more dizziness and all my muscle tightness has gone and my tmz is gone too. Been doing for two months so far been sick since 2011. I have Lyme Bart and baby and my breathing is great no sweats at night any more etc. the herxing was terrible at first with garlic and doxy only, then it lifted and I used radishes to detox it works great. But my methods is crazy different than the norm but it is getting me some life again so far. Till I see your post I wish you the best sorry I got long I just want u to remember the natural things can help a lot.

sandyfeet, WalkingbyFaith, and ChickenArise: Honestly, I'm very humbled by all the feedback. As I mentioned to Girlie, via e-mail, I didn't think many people would notice my absence. I figured I'd sorta "fade out" quietly and without much attention. I often feel that others have much more to contribute than I do. When Pirouette left the forum, for example, that was significant. Thankfully, her thousands and thousands of posts remain for the benefit of others. I like to bring humor, but lately, my well is dry.

All forum members -- whether Lyme Disease, Prostate Cancer, Ulcerative Colitis, or the other many forums -- you're all remarkable people to give so much of yourselves. Your gifts of your time, attention, encouragement, compassion, and your heart make a difference in the lives of others in ways that will likely never be fully understood. And, those gifts are archived here to help countless others in the future.

I love you all, wish you God's blessings, and hope to return in the near future.

I had to say thank you and goodbye, Dude. You were there for me during a really low point and the first person to "sing" me happy birthday. Such a small gesture really made my day, and I'm still amazed that you found a way to make me smile. I am sorry to hear that you are going through a rough time, but of course support you in your decision to take a step back and focus on you, especially with all you have given to this board. I saw the "The Dude Abides" today! Sorta...?

I was at the store, and some teen kid walks by me with a "The Dude Abides" tshirt on. I stopped in my tracks, and I was like - WTH? Seemed a little young to be our "Dude" here and a little self confident to be wearing his own screenname...

So, clearly, I thus learned that "The Dude Abides" was in reference to something in pop culture. But what?? What could it be?? So, google helped me solve the mystery.

This is the story of how I learned that Dude's screenname is in reference to the Big Lebowski movie (which I haven't ever seen). Perhaps I'm the only clueless person in the world who hasn't seen that movie!

See, Dude, you affect us in ways you could have never foreseen. I may now add this movie to my list! LOL

By the way, the movie "The Big Lebowski" is a dark comedy with adult themes and lots of cursing. The F-word, for example, is used either 260 times or 292 times, depending on which source you believe. Plus, that's hardly the only curse word used in the movie. The word "Dude" is used 161 times, in case you're ever on a game show and are asked that question.

Indeed, some people are put-off by all the F-bombs. Despite the language, I still find it very, very funny. There are a lot of great actors in it, too.

I'm a Jeff Bridges fan, too. I think he's a great actor. Very versatile. I really liked his Dad, also. But, mostly, when I think of Lloyd Bridges, I think of him in the 1980 movie "Airplane." I recently found a YouTube channel with all of Lloyd's old "Sea Hunt" episodes.
