Wow, they had me at "aluminium" the british spelling of aluminum, I know this is a red-hot debate and controversy right now, and I'm starting to piece together why.

I myself have received vaccinations both as a child and as an adult, and I have more than a subtle tinge of autistic traits, with my last round of vaxx being for Hep A and a few others. I'm not proud of it, it is what it is, though I wonder what a non-autistic life would really be, and if that's really how others see me.

Couple thoughts: nicotine is highly poisonous but also a stimulant in very very low dosages (like microcentigrams range 1-3 mcg don't know exact quantities but), similar amounts (mcg's) of arsenic in apple seeds also poison, natural aspirin in other seeds of fruits (salicylic acid)...but these are essential in the organic chemistry involved with natural and synthetic abx (think: grapefruit seed extract) immune response, healing, most of this is getting outside of my wheelhouse and above my pay grade though so I digress and defer to those more knowledgeable than I...

anyway, "aluminum adjuvant" is a new one to me,

these neurotoxins are starting to come to light as something of the asbestos of our day (mold, electromagnetic pollution, ticks and critters with bioengineered superbugs in their guts, etc)

One last thought, think of all the remediations of mercury (mining) and lead paint (exposure) .

Science should lead the way, at least I hope most are on board with that, thanks Girlie though, I think this all happens far above my pay grade, though I think everyone should be as informed as possible in their personal decisions.

I believe vaccines are a good thing. I work at a humanitarian aid organization where I've seen their impact. It's also undeniable that they cause adverse reactions sometimes, and it's not "very rare." One if my three children reacted to them with illness every time, and a friend's autistic son stopped talking and interacting with people immediately after a vaccine reaction. Many people have connected the onset of their Lyme symptoms to surgeries or vaccines. I don't think it makes sense to categorically reject any possibility of vaccines triggering the onset of whatever might be lurking in a person's body or generic makeup already.

I don't believe vaccines cause autism. There are some vaccines that have horrible side effects in a small number of patients, like the gardasil vaccine. But overall, I think vaccines are critically important. But they are not above criticism.

Trials are underway with drug suramin for autism. Basically suramin halts cell danger response. CDR is response to injury or stress. Vaccines could cause amongst other things. In children it’s autism, adults autoimmune. Klinghardt is using this in his other clinics (not in US).

The metabolic syndrome that underlies the dysfunction is caused by the abnormal persistence of the cell danger response or CDR. Aspects of the CDR are also known to scientists as the "integrated stress response." Both genes and environment contribute to the CDR, so even genetic causes of autism lower the threshold for CDR activation and produce the metabolic syndrome. Ultimately, if the symptoms of autism are caused by a metabolic syndrome, the hopeful message is that the symptoms can be treated, even though we can't change the genes.

Yes, this trial is being done by Robert Naviaux. He's a world leading mitochondrial expert. He's also beginning trials soon for ME/CFS using suramin also. His CDR hypothesis is very interesting indeed.

My Lyme symptoms started after a flu vaccine.

Rather than debating whether or not vaccines can cause harm (they can), the medical community should be investigating WHY some are or seem to be harmed, whether by immediate reaction, onset of unusual symptoms, triggering of autoimmune disease, etc. That SOMETHING is happening to an increasing number of people is undeniable IMO.

As this applies to us with lyme, possibly our CDR has gotten stuck as well. I know those with CFS are exploring. Interestingly enough, my lyme symptoms started after a bad reaction to medication. So I have been following this “stuck” CDR.

Yes, it is very possible that vaccines are one of the many things that can trigger cell danger response. And yes, it's also possible that lyme can trigger it.

In my view - any foreign body can trigger it, from a bacteria like lyme, to a virus, to a toxin. Anything that causes our body to enter a defensive mode to protect the cells from a foreign body could trigger it. That is why diseases like ME/CFS appear to have at first glance many causes, but most likely - just have multiple triggers which result in the same response.

It is very possible that if lyme triggers CDR, treatment for CFS could also work for lyme symptoms.

It's funny because if you pick up a textbook on bacterial pathogenesis it is very clearly stated that vaccines have potential to be harmful. However, they are also widely regarded as some of the most important advances in modern medicine. It's amazing how polarized this topic has become.
