WalkingbyFaith, don't give up or feel discouraged. I've been at it since 2013 and yet here I am still fighting this thing. If there are two things that I have learned in all of these years is that 1) everyone heals differently and 2) it takes a while to heal, so take your time and do your best.
I've had my ups and downs with Bartonella, Lyme and other bugs. Back in 2013 I felt like I was weeks from dying. Then slowly I began to feel better. Then I got worse and slowly began to feel better. In the last few years I have been doing great for the most part. Anywhere from 80 to 90% better. I'll have a few relapses every other week or so, but overall, it does get better as long as you don't give up and stay on course.
Stress can knock you down and bring back symptoms like nothing else. Since March of this year I have been struggling to get back on my feet because stress brought me back to square one. But slowly, I am getting better again.
I agree with Opugirl that Japanese Knotweed and houttuyunia are very good to treat Bartonella. Sida Acuta is another one.
For herbs, I am currently using Japanese Knotweed, houttuyunia, CSA (Cryptolepis, Sida Acuta and Alchornea) Sida Acuta (again), Andrographis, Chinese Skullcap, and Cats Claw.
Some of the Abx that I am using (and have used) for Bartonella are Rifampin, Doxycycline, Minocycline, Clarithromycin, and Bactrim.
