I didn't respond well to either (got super depressed and borderline psychotic).
My LLMD prescribed Alinia - any experiences?
And has anyone tried anything natural for it that worked?
I'm desperate to not go back on Mepron.

Some reccomend flagyl and tindazole.
Klinghardt reccomends treating for protozoan parasites with; pyrantel, invermectin, albendazole, alinia
Be well

A lot of doctors talk about
Alinia. You could also go the Buhner route- cryptolepis, sida acuta, alchornea

I really like alinia. It seemed fairly effective for my babesia, I just didn't take it long enough. But I have heard of quite a few babesia patients doing very well with it.
I started taking nauclea latifolia, it's an herb that Buhner recently started recommending for babesia. It seems pretty effective and strong, draws out some good herxes. Things like CSA just don't touch my babesia anymore, they lost effectiveness. Also started taking a few other herbs Buhner recommends for babesia including dan shen (this one makes me herx) and motherwort. I also plan on adding ashgawandha soon.
When it comes to malarone, I herx so hard it gets to the point I feel like I'm going crazy.

I tolerated the Alinia well.

Thought Alinia was more for general parasites and might hit babesia a little bit but not the punch you need. I would lean towards Clindamycin and Artemisinin.
