I bought some Olive Leaf capsules from Nature's Way after reading about it in one of Buhner's books. He made it sound like a good thing, but after I bought it, I couldn't remember why I bought it or what it was as supposed to do.
Anyway, two nights ago I took some. Bottle said 3 capsules daily and Buhner said 3 capsules after eating a fatty meal, so I took it after supper. Yesterday I noticed I had more joint and foot stiffness and when I squatted down, I could hardly get up as my muscles were weak. I didn't make too much of it at the time.
Took the olive oil again last night same way - 3 capsules after supper. Woke up at 5:30 this morning with a headache, stiff joints, soreness in back of head, and feeling dehydrated. After a while, I started having bowel movements - looser than usual and multiple trips. Felt better after that but kind of wiped out.
I recently started d-limonene and also have been taking more Candicid Forte, so I wasn't sure which one was making me feel bad. After searching for posts on Olive Leaf, seems like this might be the one. What do you think?
Should I not be taking it at all, or should I stop and start slower? Does it have to be taken daily or can I take it randomly?
It's not a cyst buster or biofilm buster is it?
When i first started taking OLE i was having major liver and gallbladder pains. Liver flushes helped. I take this as the OLE was killing stuff off and my sluggish bile flow was backing up more with toxins.
What you describe could be die-off, or like i mentioned in the previous post, it could be a histamine reaction if you are sensitive to that as OLE raises histamines, though your symptoms sound more die-off to me.
Try easing up on the dose and upping your detox, see ifvthat helps. If it does, start back up slower, olive leaf can be potent for someAerose,
Thank you so much for responding. This sounds exactly like what I'm experiencing. Later today, after I posted this, I was having upper abdominal pain and it was sore to the touch. Not sure if it's the liver or stomach organ, but it feels like it has something to do with stomach acid or bile.
I laid down, and it got worse. When I got up, I started having terrible, relentless belching. I took 2 GasX before supper, but I'm still suffering. I hope I can stop it before bedtime. It's giving me chest pain, too. Feels a lot like the silent reflux that preceded the sudden onset of IBS-C going on 3 years ago.
I'll skip the Olive Leaf and the D-limonene tonight. I think the d-limonene reduces stomach acid, so I think it's playing a part in this too.
When it all passes, I'll try the Olive Leaf again and go lower and slower. I don't want to lose my liver.Gallbladder is the upper right quadrant of your abdomen, right under the top part of your rib cage. It's not uncommon for us to have slow bile flow due to gallstones
