The news about
natural remedies, herbal, plant or otherwise, like Stevia are encouraging for lyme n co recovery...
However...I have to echo what others have said here about
additives, and some are half cane sugar blends, and I think Walmart uses sucralose which are is questionable if not outright inflammatory and bad for many diseases.
Most people are fooled by the packaging and advertising; sadly that if it says "Stevia" anywhere, people think oh that's the good stuff. NOPE.
I also have read about
certain additives that reduce caking can be harmful as well (anti-caking agents).
Yeah, I'm looking for pure Stevia, liquid drops or a certain brand I used to get, it's like the #1 packet seller on Amazon. Reading Amazon reviews can sort some of this out. Sadly, that stuff is probably more expensive, but hopefully goes a long way with natural sweetness, and possible health benefit.
I'm pretty darn sure Stevia in it's pure form, is SO much better than other artificial sweeteners that are "scientifically rumored" if not proven to cause neuronal cell death, I think it's saccharine or aspartame, sucralose isn't much better.
Sorry for the downer and Stevia impostor, additive and sugar facts!
Xylitol is also a much better alternative, you can buy candies and toothpaste that are made from it.
Call me too careful but I also use flouride-free toothpaste because I sorta need to hold on to my IQ points as they seem to have diminished (if you've heard flouride blunts intelligence, lowers IQ).
Anyhoo, the people I live with buy the wrong stuff all the time. Of course it's cheaper but how important is your health to you?
Also I like to say Science is fact, not fiction, too!
edit: Having said all that: The BioFilm Busting properties of Stevia are promising and exciting!
