Interesting response to dental work

Hi all,

I just had a crown replaced about a week and a half ago and ever since I've been having weird gland issues in my neck, mostly on the same side as the crown. I saw the dentist the other day and he's never had anyone experience such a reaction. He said the crown is zirconia (composite). I looked it up and found a couple incidences online of folks who have had reactions to it, but it is pretty rare. One interesting thing that I had forgotten is that I had a previous crown put in Sept 2017 by the same dentist and by Oct was having all kinds of new weird symptoms centered around my head. Seems like a cause an effect. I had dismissed it as I was told they used composite and not an amalgam. Now I'm seriously wondering if this could be part of my puzzle as things have changed lots since Sept 2017... I have an email into my doc, and my dentist said he'll replace my existing dental work, but I wouldn't know what to get. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I am having 1 of 3 zirconia crowns replaced next week - all 3 are different brands (lava, bruxzir, cant remember other one). I have lots of head centered issues (tinnitus, facial numbness). I developed a jaw tremor after trying dmsa (chelation). Also came up on biofeedback scan as dental liner (cement used for crown). In addition thermography showed dental inflammation. So, lots of evidence that my crowns may be an issue. I will also explore wisdom teeth cavitations after crowns are addressed.

I have been on the fence for months on whether or not to replace my crown. I have a hard time with nerves settling after them - literally 6 months - which is probably another red flag. Plus the expense... New crown will be cerec brand and I was muscle tested with all materials. New dentist is biological.

FYI- one also doesn't want to different metals in one's mouth. Two separate metals in a saline solution creates a current-inches from brain-24-7-365. Biological dds may be able to test this. Clifford test-use google

Sorry to hear that, k07. Did you ever have a Cavitat or conebeam scan to see if there was any infection in that tooth?

I have not made an appointment to do cavitations yet. I’m a bit gun shy of doing surgery. It seems that I always try stuff and end up making myself worse. Maybe I’ll explore it in the next year. If I remember right the cavitat scan wasn’t cheap.

I assumed that if I got the 3D conebeam scan that the practice that did it would find cavitations, both because they want to make money (and this practice looooooves to make money) and because I seem to have every possible dental problem. To my surprise, I had no cavitations, even with two root canals, four extensive wisdom teeth remove surgeries, and plenty of other dental work. So it's not a universal finding! I did also find a marvelous biological dentist who still costs a lot but doesn't seem to be swindling anyone and is happy to talk things through with you, do less-expensive options, etc. Having an infected root canal-treated tooth removed was helpful, so I recommend considering that if you've had root canals. (Just replaced mine with a single-tooth denture, as I could not afford a bridge or implant, and didn't really want either one.)

A cavitat scanner is different than the cone beam. If I recall right, they were charging based on each tooth. I’m just highly skeptical now.
