Hello, missy_j78:
While reading the following article, I was reminded of your request for assistance:
7 Myths about Lyme Disease Doctors Want To Debunkhttps://www.bustle.com/p/7-myths-about-lyme-disease-doctors-want-to-debunk-15567548While the article itself may not be of much help, perhaps you could e-mail the doctor (Daniel Cameron, MD, MPH) that is listed in the article. His website is linked, too.
Or...
Rather than trying to debate them on Lyme, perhaps you would have an easier time trying to get covered for something like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Fibromyalgia, or other diagnosis that has many of the same, overlapping symptoms?
I'm not sure if your end goal is having treatments covered or if you're looking at something more long-term. But, either way, if you have an agreeable doctor, perhaps he/she can use a more commonly-accepted (less-contentious) diagnosis and still be able to treat you accordingly and give you the care you need and deserve.
I'm not sure if I'm doing a good job explaining what I'm trying to convey.
Best of luck,
Dude
