Obviously they aren't all like that. The specialists can be the worse ones. I used to think an inquisitive and
open mind would be a requirement for a Dr, obviously its not.
Ive met many who look for excuses to do nothing: "your at the bottom, but in range" - typical thyroid or any other blood test response. At the bottom of any range for years shows something is not right. Sometimes you need to be almost dead for them to budge - like in the ER. Thats actually where I proved a clot issue after a GP ignored the signs, and my clotting gene knowledge.
The functional MD's are quite expensive and have long wait times, Ive been to them though, well, after waiting - we need more. There a holistically minded (but under-experienced) conventional MD I see for some health "detective" work. She is
open to ideas, adds to them and has access to insurance paying conventional tests.
How many people die because they dont get personally involved in their health mysteries?. Even more than a few here would be dead if they didnt is my guess. Drs are supposed to be qualified to figure this out. At least they all should care since their product is fixing people.
rant over, sorry for the thread hi-jack..
