I have had this! It's so unpleasant.
My assumption is that it is related to the vagus nerve. I experienced it mildly but continuously for a few days once. I stuck with smoothies to avoid nausea, wore Seabands, did tapping (EFT), hummed and sang to stimulate my vagus nerve, and did deep breathing and various yogic breath work exercises, and Epsom salt baths. I don't remember which supplements I was taking at the time, unfortunately, but lots of things are helpful for neurological health: lion's mane, Jernigan Neuro-Antitox, burbur-pinella, calcium, magnesium, etc.

I also get this sensation when I see someone get hurt, even in a movie. Someone stubs their toe, and I get the roller coaster stomach feeling, just for a second. This isn't something that I ever experienced prior to Lyme.
