astroman you are right and I apologize that I did not mention the risk factor in my post.
have you looked into bovine thyroid?
I am debating on whether to go back on Thiroyd or to give Bovine a try.
Sources I found:

Those are interesting, but again not regulated by any outside agency or to any standard but their own which is not usefull.
I have read about
people using these, but usually they are not very hypo to begin with and just need "support" vs a heafty added hormone dose. And these people are usually guessing at their levels as no regular Dr will thyroid lab test someone using these products. Some do guess, self treat and pay for labs 100% on their own though- same for some "Thyroid S" users.
Using questionable thyroid hormone for anyone that needs a heavy dose is taking a chance and they will most likely never feel optimal, I get full panel thyroid testing four times per year, and I get if for free from my endo Dr since I use FDA regulated thyroid med.
Due to long time Hashimoto and needing a heavy med dose, If I (and other long time hypos) took this I would never feel optimal or balanced. Swinging from hypo to hyper is no way to live. Very low thyroid output and TSH above..say 10 or 20 (hypo TSH is different for diff people) can be just as bad as full blown Lyme disease.
Like many supplements its entertaining and possibly useful for a few people as a last resort.

The best thing I ever did for hashi was 100% glutan free last year. Thyroid Nodual even dissolved from this. Crazy but true.
