Bicillin Injection Herx Lasting Forever

I started IM Bicillin shots two weeks ago. 1 shot per week at 1.2 billion units. The first shot caused a mild neuro herx. The second shot put me through the roof -- intense tingling, burning, inner vibration and surging anxiety.

The problem with the shot is you can't "ease off of it" once it's been injected. It just has to run it's course. I searched for information on what the half-life of bicillin is, but couldn't find any answers. I'm assuming if I'm getting the shot once a week, it's still in my system one week later?

I've been herxing for the last 6 days since the last shot. I am due for another shot tomorrow, but of course will not take it. I am waiting for word from my LLMD, but was hoping someone might have experience with this. It just seems like it's never going to end.

I am detoxing like crazy: skin brushing, epsom salt baths, liposomal glutathione, burbur/pinella, activated charcoal, lemon water.

Ugh, looks like it stays in one's system for 2 to 4 weeks at 1.2 billion. Hopefully, I don't herx for that long. This is the worst herx I've ever had -- neurological symptoms are out of control.

I don't see how I could possibly do another one of these injections. Maybe at a lower unit value? Feeling so hopeless at this point. Can't do orals due to stomach, IM shots are too much ...

Bicillin was the one medicine that really helped me when I started injections about 5 years or so ago. Have been on and off it. For a long time I would take 2.4 mu shots every five days.

Most of the time I had very good reactions to it. Bicillin seems to still help on days I take the shot. On the other hand, Rocephin through an IV made me crazy. We all react differently to treatments, as you know. I see you are detoxing. Are you taking any other medicines/herbs?

Bicillin has a long half-life, so certainly could be driving a large flare.

Sometimes the nervous system and ANS gets triggered with the strong herxes. May want to try teas or supplements that help calm the nervous system. Another angle that could be worth exploring is MCAS, my flares have always been massive and I think there is an MCAS component (immune hypersensitivity to toxins/die-off/pathogens). I found combo antihistamines helpful, but there are a lot of natural options as well.

I'm currently giving l-ornithine a shot, I throw that out there as some people find it helpful for the brain symptoms we get from die-off...
