Hey Guys,
Im new to this forum, I just got my igenex test results back and showed a double positive 41 IGG and IND 41 IGM with a positive 45 IGM, I wanted to see if this would mean lyme or possibly something else going on?

welcome to the forum Alias. I don't think I have a good answer for your question, but I am bumping it up to the top.

IMO if you have symptoms indicative of systemic infections or tick borne infections I think you would be wise to seek treatment with a medical care provider.

band 41 is presence of flagella detected ++ means definitely.
no good bugs have tails ! and you dont have syphilis , so welcome to the borreliosis club!

band 45 is heat shock protein found- this helps spirochetes survive fevers

but the trouble with testing for the immune response of a immunosuppressive systemic infection is that if borrelia has been there for a long time the immune system does not recognize the threat or is not strong enough to produce a positive cdc criteria test.

Hi alias

While not lyme “specific” , Band 41 is the flagella of a spirochete.
A few things besides lyme can cause band 41 - relapsing Fever, Pintas and Yaws as well as Syphilis... (maybe a few more)

Most experienced lyme docs will do a clinical diagnosis and use the test for backing it up.

I’m assuming you have symptoms that indicate Lyme disease and/or a tickbite - perhaps an EM rash?

Hey Guys,
Thanks so much for this info, my main symptoms are headache/head pressure, hyperacusis/Soundsensitivity, Brain Fog, Fatigue, Tingling in face/Nerve Irritation. I was wondering if parasites can also cause the band 41 to show up? I also have a high Immunoglobulin A not sure if that is related?

I doubt parasites would - unless you know of one that is a spirochete with a flagella?
