Dr Yu’s new book - AcciDental Blow Up in Medicine: Battle Plan for Your Life

Has anybody read this? This just came out in June. His old book, Accidental Cure, was published in 2010.

If anyone has read both, should both books be read or just the latest one? I have neither one but am interested.

I can’t travel to see him. Hoping there’s enough information in one or both books for self treating or finding a local person to follow.

I'm a patient of Dr Y and will be going back to St Louis in a couple weeks for my follow up visit after my first couple rounds of parasite meds. Ill also be getting cavitation surgery with an oral surgeon he works closely with. He spotted the cavitation on the first visit and said it might be the cause of my chronic chest tightness. To answer your question, I've read both books and think there was useful information in both. If I had to choose I'd pick the latter since there is more updated info. The gist of both is that if you treat Parasites, hidden Dental infections, fungus, heavy metals, and nutritional deficiencies, many chronic illnesses spontaneously go away- hence the name "acciDental cure."

I read it, of course. It was ok. I would first listen to his recent interview with Better Health Guy and then decide if you want to know more, get the book. Lots of patient stories in it. The end of the book lists what meds he uses for specific parasites.

He's big on dental issues being the root cause.

I have read a few books (on MCAS) since this one so it's hard for me to remember all the details.

Walkingbyfaith, which llmd are you seeing? I'm also dealing with mold/mycotoxins in addition to the Lyme co-infections bab, mycoplasma pneumoniae, ebb, chl. Pneumoniae. I got my heavy metal results a few weeks after my first visit so I won't know what the heavy metal treatment is until I go there for my second visit. From what I read, I'm guessing it may be iv dmps initially then oral dmsa after. But I'll keep you posted. My challenge test was with iv dmps and it was able to give a clearer picture of my heavy metal load than my previous heavy metal tests. My previous test was provoked with oral dmsa, which is considered a weak chelator. It showed mercury in the yellow range whereas the challenge with iv dmps showed mercury off the charts as well as palladium. So I'm glad I used the dmps otherwise I wouldn't have know that I had such a high metal load that needs to be addressed sooner than later. Ive heard of strong reactions to iv dmps but I tolerated it well that time. As far as order of treatment I will have to ask on my next visit and will let you know. I'd highly recommend the cone beam scan especially if you've had extractions. They found cavitations on all my wisdom teeth sites as well as a possible 5th.

K07, I'll keep the forum posted on my cavitation results. I only plan on doing 2 at a time since I heard of difficult recovery periods especially from patients who did 4 at one time. Which dr are you seeing by the way? For my cavitations I'll be seeing dr M.

I see Dr. O in atlanta as my main doc. I consulted with a dr. N in Texas for cavitations but may consider doing it with a local doc (Dr S in OH) that seems to have success. He uses cavitat scan. Are you seeing Dr M in AZ? I think he refers out sometimes to Dr S.

What is the cost of cavitation surgery, if I may ask? I know it depends on the doctor and location but I would like to know, as I have no clue. I guess there’s no point in spending $3-400 on a cone beam scan if I can’t afford the surgery.

Is there an email I can reach you at regarding costs? Where is the best place to find concise info on Klinghardt and Cutler's heavy metal protocol? I used the hair minerals testing also, but it didn't give me as much heavy metal info as did the doctor's data iv challenge test.

Thanks for sharing your detox experience. I already have really bad headaches as it is and hearing that the Cutler protocol gave you bad headaches makes me cautious about doing it. Is there another protocol you think might would work besides Cutler's? What are everyone's thoughts on iv edta /calcium edta or edta suppositories?

Hi, RainyCloud! Wow! I don’t even remember posting this. In case anyone is wondering, I never got either book. I got a conebeam scan a couple years ago and sort of checked into the possibility and cost of cavitation surgery but never went any further. Never did metals testing either.

However, my mold/Lyme doc has told me repeatedly that she believes I won’t get better or get rid of parasites and mold illness until the cavitations are gone. I just don’t have enough confidence in the necessity to pursue it. The only way I could get it now would be a fundraiser. Money’s all gone. So I just keep avoiding mold the best I can and doing a round of antiparasitics at least once a month.
