ElizKA26,
Thanks for the info especially concerning Acupuncture. I will give that a try. I'll also try the gag method you mentioned. Funny you should mention Natural Calm, I have been taking about
200 mg dose per day for most of the days the last 3 weeks. However the evening when I had the really bad panic attack I didn't take any that day or the day before. I have been taking 200 mg dose the last two days. The reason I am so careful about
my dosages, and starting off with a low dosage is in the past with certain herbs or antibiotics the standard dosage always caused bad anxiety and panic attacks with flare-up of symptoms due to the herx until my body adjusted to them. In other words I herx so easily and I have a reaction to medicines. So I usually start low and slowly work my way up to higher dosages, along the way trying to keep the herxing to a manageable level. I am currently taking 1 capsule of P73 Oil of Oregano with a minimum of 73% carvacrol. I will begin in the next week or two taking a drop of P73 Oil of Oregano under the tongue and then a few weeks later double to two capsules and then two drops under the tongue and continue upward while also upping my dosage of Artemisia Annua. I also plan on adding a few drops of olive leaf and a grapefruit extract capsule. I had been taking a more milder form of wild oil of oregano for a few months, it was working but the P73 is much more powerful and I can really tell the difference. I also tried Zane Hellas' Oil of Oregano a couple of times and that has a strong kick too. Which Wild Oil of Oregano brand have you had good luck with? I will probably try the Cats Claw too, thanks for the recommendation. Good point about
my nervous having damage, it's definitely going haywire.
Girlie,
Thanks for the great info. Especially the info on Bartonella. That could be it for me I could have Bartonella instead of Babesia or both. I was thinking it may be Babesia since I get air hunger from time to time. Can Bartonella give a person air hunger too? From your experience where you were on Bart treatment and gasping for air sounds like this is the case. Any particular herbs or supplements that you found worked with Bart? Sorry to hear about
your night sweets, anxiety, and other symptoms, sounds like since it is getting better that you are on the right track. I am taking Artemisia Annua (liquid drops). Reason I went with it instead of Artemisia was that I had read some opinions and studies that Artemisia can sometimes stop working after a few weeks since the Babesia is able to adapt to it. Artemisia Annua (since its the whole plant) though not as powerful supposedly continues to keep attacking the Babesia. I think the Artemisia Annua is working for me, I started almost three weeks ago with 2 drops (just a little under 100 mg) and my anxiety, night and day sweats, cold hands, flu-like systems, air hunger, etc. all flared up and then I got better. This past Monday I upped the dosage to 3 drops (just under 150 mg) and felt flare up of symptoms again but felt better when symptoms weren't present. I believe that the Artemisia Annua was also part of the big panic attack I had a few nights ago due to exertion, I believe it's attacking the Babesia. However won't know for certain until I continue to up the dosage getting close to the ideal 650 mg per day. I know what you mean about
not being able to multi-task, I just like you used to be able to multi-task very well however on some days I have bad brain fog and I just can't multi-task like I used to. On really bad days I have the concentration and attention span of a 2-year old.
Georgia Hunter,
Thanks for the great info on panic attacks and possible heart rate elevation cause. That would explain a lot especially when I exert myself I get the bad panic attacks, it could be the elevated heart rate causing the panic attack. The one positive thing I have noticed is that my heart rate is not racing as high as it used to. I had times when it approached 200 bpm and I thought I was going to die. In the last few months with the supplements and gluten free/detox diet my heart rate still raises too easily but it's rare when it goes above 150 bpm. Also I suffered from bradycardia where my resting heart rate at night would drop to as low as 45 bpm and I would get times during the day when it would drop as low as 40 bpm (could have been lower but my watch doesn't report anything lower than 40 bpm). Now after being on P73 Oil of Oregano and Artemisia Annua, I have noticed that my bradycardia (less than 50 bpm) seems to gone away. My resting rate when I sleep at night the last two weeks has been averaging around 50-51 bpm and I just looked at my heart rate stats my lowest recorded heart rate (according to my Apple Watch which I wear night and day) since September 1, 2019 was 48 bpm. Compared to last month (August 2019) my lowest heart rate was 40 bpm which recorded during the day on August 4, 2019.
borrelioburgdorferii,
Thanks for the great info, especially on the panic attacks and intolerance to exercise/exertion. I get the same feeling after an exertion/panic attack episode. I also feel like a truck ran over me even after getting 8 hours of sleep. It's as if it has put such a strain on the system that it takes a day or multiple days to recover. And thanks for the info about
the diet, so good to hear about
people like yourself who have been able to heal and get better just through diet alone. I am on a gluten free/detox diet and it has helped. I notice if I deviate from it for one meal, I am usually ok but if I do it for a full day or two I then am in big trouble with a flare-up of symptoms and anxiety. I'll check out the paleo/keto diet, thanks for the recommendation. Since you have been on the diet, can you exert yourself more than you could before such as do yard work, work on your car, exercise, etc.
Dahlias,
Thanks for the great info, that's a great point you bring up to just assume everyone who has the symptoms has the 3 B's. I would try the Mepron and malarone but my body has a tough time with pharmacy meds. I had a rough 6 months with antibiotic treatment so I eventually stopped. Rifampin especially gave me some bad side effects (which seemed to me more than herxing) and wrecked havoc on my immune system. Even though I was eating a gluten-free/detox diet and using probiotics my immune system was taking such a bad hit from it.
SPECIAL NOTE: I removed my comments about Rifampin since I mistook it to be Rifampin-Isoniazid which was incorrect since it's a different drug (Rifampin-Isoniazid capsules are the combination of two separate antibiotics where Rifampin alone is just one antibiotic). Sorry for any confusion this caused. Thanks Girlie for giving me the correct info - battlerThanks again for all the great info, I do think the Artemisia Annua is working since I notice when I start a dosage it causes an elevation of symptoms and herxing and then after that I feel better. I am going to slowly continue to up the dosage every week until I hit 650 mg a day and hopefully by then all the Babesia symptoms will be gone.
MA10,
Thank for the great info, those air hunger attacks are bad, but I really hate them at night. I have had the same thing happen to me where I turn over in bed and they hit. Thanks for the confirmation that Babesia can cause air hunger and confirmation that air hunger causes panic attacks, increase in heart rate, sweating, and nausea.
