Rifaximin and Rifampin

Rifampin and Rifabutin are quite different - the herxes I get on the Rifabutin makes the Rifampin seem like water

It’s likely that his fever is a herx.
Did he stop taking it?

I never had “classic” herxes until Rifabutin. Fever, rapid heart rate , all-over body pain...
Almost always showing after my third dose - which was Friday week 1 of my cycle.

Since you’re taking other abx, you should be okay re: resistance

jb1994- You should really think about adding in Rifabutin to your mix. According to Zhang's research you need it to hit Borrelia persister cells but it has to be in the right combo. Another good combo is cefuroxime + doxy + Rifabutin. It is the triple combos that make all the difference. You can see this in a thesis paper based on Zhang's research.
