My bloodwork shows Lyme Disease Antibodies(IGG),Blot Positive and 18,23,39,58,93 kd Band reactive. I haven't been to follow up appointment yet. Just curious what all this means? I have been diagnosed with RA 11 years ago but new Naturopath doc wasn't sure that was a correct diagnosis and did a bunch of lab tests.

Hello MailGirl... welcome !

Your test shows you have Lyme disease.
Bands 23, 39, and 93 are specific to lyme - meaning only Lyme disease will cause those bands to be positive.

So sorry you’ve been misdiagnosed all these years - but this is very common.

I recommend you seek out a LLMD for treatment (or a LLND) .

Thank You, I was diagnosed with RA in 2008 but never actually tested positive, hard to believe after all the doctors I have been though over the years that no one thought to check for this.

Unfortunately what happened to you is quite common.
Misdiagnosed with an autoimmune disease and put on immune suppressing drugs which often worsen the condition.

The good news is you now have the correct diagnosis and can get the proper treatment - the bad news is it’s not an easy “fix”.
Chronic Lyme takes many months to years to treat...so be patient.

Thank you so much, appreciate all the wisdom and knowledge! I have been misdiagnosed for 11 years, what is the success rate for treatment now? What can I expect physically during treatment? I have an extremely physical job.

What is that reaction? Not sure yet as far as treatment goes!
