What makes Lyme disease do this to us? It’s caused social anxiety for me but I feel like whatever is causing me to just hide is something else. I feel like I’m missing soooo much on my daughters life because I’m just never their. She’s just 2 years old so I know she can’t inderstand why her dad isn’t there for her. It’s like I want to so bad but I just can’t.
Is this something that is normal with Lyme,& gets better or is this more of a personal issue I have to deal with aside from Lyme? Should I be fighting these feelings and trying to put myself out their even though I know it’s not gonna work?
Sounds like neurological symptoms of bartonella. I had babesia and borrelia for 7 years, until bartonella popped up and caused anxiety, fear, OCD and other werid stuff.
Any other symptoms of sore feet, electric shocks in feet? OCD or Intrusive Thoughts... Stretch marks or small red marks common with Bartonella? Heart racing in the morning? TMJ/jaw pain? Red burning eyes? Ammonia in urine or sweat?
You look on the Bartonella Group on facebook and the sign some Bartonella patients get is high ammonia for whatever reason, as well as those stretch marks, I suspect borrelia also gives off ammonia on die off, but it seems after listening to people on the HealingWell.com forum and the Facebook Group, many have that ammonia smell coming from their body. I theorize that it may be also causing some of the neurological symptoms with bartonella, as once ammonia gets in your head it can cause psychosis, anxiety, all sorts of weird stuff. NOW L-Orthinine and Allergy Research's L-Orthinine L-Aspartate has really help keep my head clear. And KAL magnesium glycinate or Natural Vitality's CALM really helps with anxiety. Get on these supplements and it should help, read the reviews on Amazon, as many patients report the clearing of their head when on L-Orthinine L-Aspartate.
Increase in Probiotics/Fermented Foods can also help anxiety as well.

What you're going through is very common with chronic lyme, but I believe if anxiety gets really bad, this is usually bartonella. Do a search on "anxiety bartonella" on here and on the facebook groups, if you have bartonella and if you're not using the specific antibiotics for it, you won't get better. It's a unique type of bacteria that needs antibiotics like bactrim, rifampin, biaxin, rifabutin, pyrazinamide. Some of the weaker antibiotics do help like mino, omnicef, and doxy. Also herbs like a-bart. It's a very resilient bacteria, I just heard reports of some lyme patients finally trying the turberculosis persister cell drug pyrazinamide, which some bartonella patients reporting that it was the only thing that put them in remission or helped them tremendously. This is a drug that Dr. H recommends when all else fails with bartonella it seems, according to the video.
