Emotional lability/excessive crying

It's a rollercoaster. I've read many times that mood issues are especially associated with bartonella, but I think it could be any of the infections.

I absolutely have mood issues. I get random bouts of crying and wanting to die. Mine usually pass pretty quickly and may flare off and on for days to weeks. I get bouts of hysteria/anxiety, too. That has happened a few times while in the bath or shower.

I am convinced it’s 100% toxin related. Neurotoxins are neurotoxins. It doesn’t matter where it’s coming from. I think the symptomatic results can be the same or very similar.

From what I can remember and connect, this has mostly happened when detoxing mold and when taking anti-parasitic herbs and supplements.

I conquer 100% with this. Sometimes I wonder how much candida and candida die off may play a role. When I'm up all night with that going on I'll take binders but they never help. I wish i could find something to lessen the blow a little.

Oh yes, many. I was undiagnosed for the first 4 years. It took 2 bouts of encephalitis, 1 coma and 2.5 years of psychosis to even get a diagnosis of bartonella. Took another 3 years to test positive for lyme

Girlie, Hang in there I had the same experience. Get a good therapist and treat any depression/anxiety issues you may have. I still cry easy and am struggling with Depression now. Exercise helps alot.

Aerose - regarding Dejavu’s post - Dr J had me test for ammonia levels - I believe it was included in the slew of tests that I had to do initially.

Yup. I've been tested for ammonia over a dozen times. It's always normal or low. I sort of wish it was high so I would have something to treat.
I do Buhner's protocol for QUIN and that doesn't help really, either. I feel toxicity and autoimmunity are likely my primary factors but can't seem to get a hold on them

It's not neurotoxins, it's GI bacterial assortment. I have 29 studies referenced on the topic. Studies in children that cry a lot show that it's not only the colic that makes them cry but a lack of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium bacteria. These bacteria are ultimately responsible for Tryptophan availability because of how they regulate all of the other bacteria in the GI tract. It ultimately influences Glycogen synthase kinase (GSK3) which is responsible for many problems, one being neurological issues. Long story short, take lithium. Lithium helps with hormone levels, helps remove the negative stress on polyamines, and helps protect against cadmium. It can inhibit iodine uptake so that could be a concern for people with borderline thyroid issues.

Why does one have too much cadmium...........H pylori? Increased cadmium excretion on urinalysis is indicative to H pylori elevation. Low manganese levels can come from H pylori as can decreased thyroid activity. H pylori can cause bruising and bleeding issues as well as high tryptamine levels. People with elevated H pylori levels will have increased nickel concentrations as well as increased ketosis. This comes from energy produced from fat digestion. Long story short, it's never just one bacteria causing the problem, it's the combination.
