I re-read the post - it’s a machine?
Yes! Dr. J is recommending IV for me...but I haven't seen him in a long time (I think it's been since June maybe?) and I need to get a SPECT scan done before I get IV done. IV costs a ton so I've been kind of delaying it and will try to see Dr. J in a few months or the beginning of next year and go from there.
For the NeurOptimal...it's expensive I spent $750 for the month. But I can do the neurofeedback for 30 days and usually one session costs $75-100 so technically I am saving money a lot of money. They sent me a laptop and I put like 2 electrodes on my head and ears and I hear a space in the music which is supposed to teach your brain to think correctly. My biggest improvements have been in anxiety and my attention span is much better. I will know more after about
a week or two more and give you guys an update.
I want improvements in my memory...FATIGUE and neuropathy so I am waiting. I haven't had many problems with memory or fatigue the past few days but that could just be a coincidence.
My symptoms were always babesia symptoms...and I am pretty sure I have chronic babesia at this point. Babesia almost killed me and a normal blood test was positive for babesia when I was first sick (and this wasn't Igenex it was the normal blood test from a normal MD).
It wasn't until about
6 months into babesia treatment I started having Lyme symptoms and that's when I saw Dr. J.
I mean I take artemesia, cryptolepsis, and Mepron...and Dr. J says my liver is still swollen from babesia...it's insane. I think next time I take antibiotics I am just going to add in Sida Acuta for good measure.
I HAVE gone off all antibiotics and antimalarials and stopped at the end of September 2019. I really wanted to get a baseline of where my health is and take milk thistle to try and calm my liver. The antibiotics started making me dealthy ill- I was on a very strong protocol and I do believe it was working but the inflammation was too much. The probiotics weren't working anymore and I knew it was time that my body needed a break. I gained about
15 pounds in 2 months...every time I took antibiotics I gained weight and I knew it was from the inflammation.
The weight gain was causing problems on it's own and I was starting to worry I'd end up with type 2 diabetes if I kept going with the antibiotics.
I didn't tell Dr. J I was taking a break. I'm sure he wouldn't care but it's very hard to get in touch with them and I need to see a baseline of my health.
It's also good to take a break just to see how your immune system is on it's own.
I will keep everyone posted!! If I could I'd buy this machine but it costs $5,500 so def not doing that. But I may rent it an extra month so I can do 60 sessions.
I do strongly believe that Lyme has a mind body connection. And especially babesia for me has wrecked havoc on my mind. I don't expect it to go back to 100% normal but I just want to feel better/happier/less fatigue/better memory.
