I had extreme weight loss that started several months after my symptoms went full blown in 2015. Just before the weight loss started, my weight had been creeping up and had topped out at 114 lbs. When I started losing, it snowballed. I got down to 87 lbs, looked anorexic and my body felt all weird and alien.
I learned that mold exposure was a big part of my illness and got away from the exposure. Before knowing about
the mold, I went to a chiropractor who did functional medicine. She had me on an elimination diet, as I had sudden onset of IBS-C. The weight loss continued, as my diet was severely restricted.
After I got away from the mold, I chucked any kind of diet to the wind and ate whatever I wanted. I ate breakfast and full course dinners with dessert for lunch and supper. Took months to gain 2 lbs. After 6 months of that, my body normalized again weight-wise. I kept up the eating anything and everything, even though the appetite had diminished. I got a little bit overweight as I got up to 96 lbs.
Unfortunately, I had more mold exposure this year and had severe weight loss again. I am around 85 lbs this time around but don’t look as underweight (I don’t think). Anyway, I am unsure what it means ir what to do about
it. I still have the IBS-C and ropeworm. I take mega doses of magnesium to keep my bowels moving, but I have worse digestion from speeding up the bowel movements with magnesium.
I had been meaning to post about
this but never got around to it. I feel like I’m dying and malnourished a lot of the time even though I eat. I know I need to increase my nutrients (not just calories), but my living situation doesn’t make that easy.
