What is this?
This is an ongoing thread for us Lyme patients, where you can talk about anything that's on your mind.
Off-topic conversations are welcome.
Examples can be (but are definitely not limited to):

• How was your day?
• Do you have any plans for the weekend?
• What are your hobbies?
• What's on your mind?
• What are you struggling with?

Why?
For more than 1 reason.
Lyme can be an isolating disease, it's nice to be able to chat with others.
Simple things like having daily conversations with people can become scarcer when you're sick.
Or maybe you just like to chat.
This thread is to here for all of that and more!

What are the toppings of your fave pizza RainyCloud?
I love pizza - but I am (always have been) a fussy eater - lots of foods I dislike - some so much that I would gag if I was forced to eat them.
I get a GF Hawaiin when we go out for pizza.

Gluten free is very trendy where I live so it’s not difficult to find a gf restaurant.
Although even a non gf restaurant usually has several choices.

I’m waiting for my husband to get home from work so we can watch Netflix

Oh my favorite toppings, I almost forgot, I love spinach on my pizza. And then I usually add some sort of meat. I also like extra tomato sauce, and cheese of course! Oh and those yellow peppers, the spicy ones, oh my goodness.

Oh man, I would love a pizza right now! My first job after leaving school was at Pizza Hut and I got a free pizza for lunch every day. You'd think I would be sick of them after that, but I sill love them.

Interesting love life you've got going on there Lvg123! My mother and stepfather separated and still lived together for what seemed like forever, which was lots of fun... not. That was one frosty atmosphere.

I am way too fragile to do anything much at the moment. I am toying with the idea of building a website for something to do, but I'm such a mess right now that I don't think I could concentrate enough to manage it. I'm bored out of my mind stuck in here all day!

I am with you on that one. I am bored out of my freaking mind. The fatigue is just too heavy that I can't do anything really. A website would be cool to work on at some point. I always thought of creating like a Lyme chatroom but maybe that already exists.

I am watching The Prisoner and going to bed early.
and tried activated charcoal in a pill today. Previous to this I tried it several months ago by just eating out a bag and it was horrible.
I also tried 3 drops of Quinine to see if would cause vertigo, if so, maybe I have babs. It kind of did but didn't, I'll try upping the dosage Saturday which is my 'experiment' day (in case I get sick)

I am doing so much better then last week. everday: 62.5mg DSF, Vitamin B3, Magnesium, Maca root, microminerals, salt, folic acid, fish oil, bunch of other stuff, methylene blue. Lots of tea and fasting. Going to eat tomorrow something big maybe PIZZA. Maybe if I take a dozen activated charcoal pills before, I won't get fat and I can eat more. When i eat I get tired. I think its the parasites coming out to eat. Hope they enjoy NOTHING because thats what I ate all week. Methylene blue, Quinine, and DSF on the menu for next week as well! haha

going to keep doing 62.5mg of DSF for week 3 next week. Hopefully it is a normal week, because last week was hell. We deserve a week off from this disease!

I’m not sure I could do the online dating - I’m married anyway - but if I was single I couldn’t imagine meeting a stranger at Starbucks - how awkward.

I think I’ll keep my husband ... lol
Been married for 28 years now - can’t imagine not having him in my life.

My best friend and I have a pact -if we’re both alone/single when we’re old - like 70’s - we’re going to live together.

Girlie is the GF Hawaiian pizza the one with pineapple on it? I might have to try that

JovaLyme Thank you! Oh and ahhh pizza hut, isn't it great? I truly miss being able to walk into a pizza place and just getting whatever looks the unhealthiest. Let me know if you decide to make that website, I'd want to follow it.

WalkingbyFaith is Greek food your thing when it comes to food? Or was it just a coincidence? I've never had Greek food, can you believe it? What kind of food is it? I'd love to hear about it.

oregonhay Good luck with the Quinine! What kind of magnesium are you taking? I read glycinate is pretty good. How is the methylene blue working? And: DSF on the menu for next week lol !! that sounds funny, but yeah I think it's so promising, please do let us know how it goes. Sorry last week with DSF was hell.

jb1994 my friend! you and Girlie both like Hawaiian pizza! I'm sorry about the weight thing, I'm struggling with those few pounds myself. It's not many pounds, but it bugs me so much. Please do tell the professor to evaluate, I couldn't stand those people in group projects myself. And what a bunch of flakes with the dating. I heard from a friend that basically everyone on online dating acts like that these days. I guess it's just for attention to them. Whereas the people who want actual dates don't succeed. Must be really frustrating.

Wow all of you actually have a life. Socializing and eating out etc. I wish I did. I desperately wish I could do the things you guys are doing.

I’m on a liquid diet, have been on one since forever it seems. Miss eating normal food. Lately have been in my room all day because I can not tolerate any type of sound. Can’t even watch tv.

Really wish I could go out but severe weakness doesn’t allow me to. And with this severe hypersensitivity to sound, it’s totally not possible.

Sorry to sound like a Debbie downer.

Yes it’s ham and pineapple.
And it’s delicious!!

I sometimes miss the old days when communication was via a phone call.

The texts are just too “easy” to do.
It can be destructive if boundaries aren’t there.
(I’ve had some serious emotional reactions to them)

Lyme has sucked every bit of my confidence, self esteem, worthiness, and even my sanity on occasion.

It's not many for me either but darned if I keep losing and gaining the same few. And yeah I'm telling the professor. Most of the group is good it's just the one straggler who does the bare minimum. Agreed about the dating, everyone's a flake now because they have no obligation toward you. Which is why they are single!

As much as I like Pizza Hut, I do prefer Dominoes. Well, I did until they took my favourite off the menu! Now I use a local independent place and they are better than both of those.

Yep, I'm not a fan of texting either. In fact, I wish smartphones had never been invented. They are the most antisocial, privacy-invading sh!t ever created and have absolutely ruined the world.

Domino's is so hit or miss. One time they made the best pizza ever, the second time the worst pizza ever. Same location. Their chicken is good but I don't f with their pizza anymore. Pizza Hut is consistent. Of course local is always better. And yeah I still haven't returned that text lol. I'm just going to conveniently "didn't see it" or "whoops forgot" if he texts again.

They are too easy. They're so cheap. I hate how lazy people have become. I miss talking on the phone. Now no one calls unless it's an emergency.

I ditched Facebook years ago when I found out just how badly those scumbags were invading our privacy and selling our data to God only knows who and storing it forever. It ain't cool!

Yup I ditched it over a year ago and never looked back. Not only the privacy but everyone posts the most inane ****.
