Amoxicillin, family doctor won't prescribe it again.

My mother has had a strange blotchy rash on her abdomen and going down the front of her legs for about 4 months and slowly getting larger. Her family doctor thought it was from the UTI she had, so he prescribed her amoxicillin for 7 days. (As you know amoxicillin is also used for Lyme). The rash started to go away quite a bit, about 50%. Now the UTI is gone (she was retested for UTI and it is negative), but rash is starting to return and doctor won't prescribe amoxicillin unless UTI returns. I am thinking the rash is from Lyme and her family doctor doesn't know a lot about Lyme and her LLND can't prescribe antibiotics. She is on herbals from her LLND, the herbals haven't gotten rid of the rash, the amoxicillin did. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Wish I could see pictures of the rash- I'd be glad to share pictures of the rashes both me & my father had/have with Lyme disease if able some how. Mine's been active on both hands/wrists since Dec 5 2019. I also took amoxicillian for 21 days but it didn't help my various symptoms. Started taking sovereign silver in synergy with various antibacterial herbs & rash has calmed down some but who knows if it was the herbs/silver or just time to heal? Seems as soon as you begin addressing one issue another one pops up. Hope your mother finds relief & healing soon. It really hurts to see our loved ones suffering with little relief.

The rash is more noticeable if my mom has been walking around for 30 mins or more compared to lying down. Girlie, her family doctor may be open to recommendations from the LLND. She has to talk to the LLND on the 28th, so will discuss then. I know she needs the amoxicillin. Could be hard as the family doctor doesn't even think she has Lyme disease.
