Dilsufiram forms?

Hi, I have a prescription for antabuse (disulfiram). I was told to try get it in pill form as it may work better against lyme, but pharmacies in my country only supply it in effervescent form.

Should I get pill form or is effervescent form ok? I only saw one study comparing bioavailability of pill vs effervescent form and effervescent was apparently more bioavailable. So I'm not sure what to do :/

I'm pretty sure pill form is a better choice for Lyme than effervescent. DSF is very unstable in the stomach. Both forms will break down significantly in the stomach, but I think effervescent will break down moreso. For Lyme we want to get as much pure DSF into the blood as possible.

Enteric coatings can help drugs bypass stomach. According to Dr. Rajadas, bypassing first pass metabolism in stomach will yield more DSF in blood circulation, and that is what we want.

Perhaps some of the metabolites created in the stomach can be effective against babesia or maybe borrelia as well, but this is currently unknown. Many of the metabolites are known to be toxic or are otherwise harmful, though.
