I have been having issues with my ears for a long time, clogged feeling, altered hearing distortion, ringing,humming, unable to distinguish where sound comes from.
Intense sensitivity to sensory of all kinds makes the ears worse. Any suggestive help?
I have tried, detoxing, herbal ear drops, heat, neck exercises with lymph message, EO, nothing helps, I'm gong crazy.i have to carry ear plugs everywhere to diminish the sensory part. I'm supposed to fly to a wedding next month and I'm worried it will make it worse.
I'll take any suggestions.

Craniosacral therapy was a big help with those symptoms, for me, and to a lesser degree also acupuncture. DNRS is a practice that can reduce all kinds of hypersensitivity as well. So sorry you are dealing with this!

Have you seen an ENT? These are symptom of high frequency hearing loss, which I have. If you have not had a hearing test I would recommend it asap.

Also, I suppose I should ask if you are treating for tick-borne infections? Or mold?

Thanks for the responses, yes I am seeing a ND for Lyme, we are not able to treat Lyme as yet because my liver is too toxic. That is improving with diet and supplements, I have an appt to see a lymph drainage Dr, hopefully that will help.
I did not see an ENT because I was afraid he'd try to put me on antibiotics which my liver can't handle at this point.

An ENT almost certainly will test your hearing and send you on your way, unless they are Lyme-literate. I have been to a few. It's most likely neurological if you have Lyme, and not an issue an ENT treats. If you want to rule out fluid retention, hearing loss, Meniere's disease, or ear infection, then an ENT can help you scratch that off the list. ENTs were always find of sending me to neurologists, who would send me back to the ENT, and on and on....

Explore neurological treatments - CBD for short-term relief, as well as lion's mane, DNRS, meditation, and other things aimed at chilling out your nervous system.

Many people find that these ear issues subside once they are able to treat the cause. If treatment for tick-borne infections doesn't help, then look into mold exposure, as mold causes these issues as well.

Thanks so much, I do feel like it is more neurological, due to the sensitivity, but it feels clogged; as in fluids.
We Will keep plugging away!
And if it doesn't get better, I'll check out an ENT, just hate the run around they give.

One thing an ENT can do is check your sinuses with a small scope to make sure nothing else is going on. I am doing that Friday to, hopefully, mark off another negative possibility. I have found it just as important to find out what I don't have as much as what I do. It brings peace of mind with all the worst-case situations out there on the internet.

If a doctor tries to put me on something I know is detrimental to, for instance, my kidneys, I simply don't get it filled. Have learned to use doctors for what I need, such as blood tests, imaging, etc... And there are some good doctors out there that actually have good thoughts and consider Lyme as possible reason for a problem. Not many of them, but there are a few. And some of them will just ignore any mention of Lyme, so I use them for what I need. They get their money, I get the tests I feel situation requires or have been told about on this site.

Learning to play the "Lyme Game" to my own benefit has come over time.
