Hi everyone, just wondering if anybody has ever taken Caprylic acid for canadia or any other issues before? If so how did it work for you and what did you use. I am taking 1200mg every other day to start but am already experiencing headache and rashs from die off symptoms. I am also wondering if this is a Candida supplement that is safe to take long term? I know that other anti fungles can kill off your good bacteria along with the bad so short term use is advised. Thanks for your help!

thatll be safe n effective for a while and likely the most liver friendly choices of candida candidates -use binders like chlorella or activated charcoal if dieoff is too bad

What’s a good brand/form.

I see that NOW brand sell one in capsules - is that the best way to take it?

I’m thinking of taking it due to long term abx treatment - I do take a Tbsp of coconut oil most days - is that good for Candida?

Thank you bluelyme, that is helpful information! I have also heard that if you take a supplelmet for too long you can build up tolerance to it so it is best to rotate a few different ones. Does anyone know if there are any other options besides Caprylic acid that will not kill off your good bacteria like oregano oil or black walnut oil dose? Girlie, I take NOW brand 600mg pills, it is really cheap, I found it on vitacost 100 pills for under $15. Taking a spoonful of coconut oil is a good idea!

I’m using caprylic acid and apple cider capsules. I’ve bought a bottle of grapefruit seed extract to try too.
This Candida is a biatch.
Using chlorella to help bind and as always some good probiotics and some s boulardii occasionally for the good fungal reseeding.
My hair has been falling out and I’m adding one fluconazole per week and resuming nystatin daily.

Thank you crazy village lady! I did not know that ACV came in capsules, that's pretty neat. I will look into chorella, right now I am taking activated charcoal and Benonite clay. How many strains of probiotics do you take? I have a garden of life one that says 14 stains 30 billion units but I not sure if that is enough. I did not think of the s. Boulardii, I will try and order some. I hope your feeling good, like you said Candida is not fun. Thanks for your help!
PS. Has anyone ever tried berberine or know if it kills off good bacteria?

I take NuMedica’s HiFlora-50,12 strains, 50 Billion

I have Berberine in my cabinet for high blood sugar haven’t been taking it but I think I better resume it too, my sugar levels were high.
I’ll take 500mg 2times a day, Ive never heard of it interfering with other stuff.

I take lots of chlorella because it does not grab your good stuff like charcoal does, I stink at timing it away from the stuff I take throughout the day

Your information did help VCL, thank you very much! I will look into chlorella for sure. One thing I am confused on is should I rotate my supplements evevry other day say take one M,W,F and another TU, THURS, SAT, SUN or is it better to take one for a few months then switch to another one.
