Minocycline and immunosuppression

I am wondering if anyone else has had problems with the immunosuppressive effect of minocycline.

When I take minocycline I suddenly stop herxing. After a day or so it wears off and then I herx. It is suppressing the immune response. Since I've been taking minocycline, I have gotten cold, flu, and I got covid-19 twice. I was able to treat the coronavirus with atovaquone, but I got no antibodies to it. Before I started taking mino, I rarely got colds.

The reason I'm taking minocycline is that it's one of the few drugs that is effective against bartonella. Some antifolates also work, but I had problems with low folate when taking those.

Minocycline does seem to reduce the herx, but I'm starting to wonder if this is preventing my immune system from clearing the infections. I suspect it may be counterproductive.
