Is it common for someone with previous Lyme get bitten by a tick again ?

I hear a lot of stories of people getting bite by a tick again I’m wondering if it’s common ? If somehow ticks become attracted to you so you have to be more careful .

I don't believe we're any more or less likely to be bitten again. I don't see any mechanism for a tick to be more "attracted" to one person than another. Ticks are opportunistic and will take a meal wherever they can find one.

Yes it's very common. And it's not just ticks that are attracted to you. Your body attracts all kinds of bloodsucking arthropods. To them you are irresistible. I guess we're out of luck...

It is very common to become irresistible to many insects. Seems like Dr. Rawls may have talked about this in his book. It has to do with changes in your body and pH.

I think insects are attracted to some people more than others. My dad spent hours in the woods and only got a tick once.

I cover myself in essential oils that repel ticks before I go anywhere near the woods, and I've been okay so far.

I noticed every since I was little insects have always been attracted to me. I remember I had every insect on me on that hiking trip while others barely had any bug on them..

Ticks and fleas attach to whatever comes near them and don't hunt in the ways that some other critters do. Ticks are equal-opportunity predators. smile Mosquitos, on the other hand, fly toward whomever smells the nicest to them. It's possible to be more attractive to mosquitos.
