For migraines caused by Bart, I take imitrex (sumatriptan). Make sure you are detoxing too, binders work best for me. Charcoal works ok, cholestyramine works best. Chewable GABA helps with anxiety.
ChickNorris,
I take sumatriptan, too. Very thankful for it. It works for me most of the time.
Please tell more about
your experience with cholestyramine. Did you take it for mold or Lyme/coinfections? Did you feel worse or better taking it? How did you take it - dose, frequency, length of treatment?
I had a bad experience with it, as I was incredibly toxic and went too fast. I had hoped to retry after getting into a clean environment, but remediation was not successful. I am in exposure again.Well my llmd suspected mold was holding me back so that’s why she prescribed it. I did test positive for mold from Great Plains labs and then my ERMI test for my house too. But I don’t really think mold is my issue. Our house is dry as can be although we had a previous leak we cleaned up thoroughly.
At any rate, the cholestyramine helped me greatly while treating with disulfiram, it cleared up my head and migraines quite a bit. Now I’m off pretty much everything.
I’m not very knowledgeable about
mold issues so I’m no help there. I think it’s a fabulous binder though, whether for mold or for herxing.
Sorry you are dealing with mold! One thing I did learn is it is an expensive problem to deal with, and confusing!
