Lyme and breast lumps?

I have had a lot of pain under my arm and I woke up one day with a huge lump in my breast. I have had to wait 2 weeks for an ultrasound and mamo I am wondering is this associated with Lyme? I have multiple problems caused by Lyme but I also have had multiple women in my family die of breast cancer. My tests are scheduled for Monday but for some peace of mind has anyone else had this?

That does sound scary. I pray the tests are benign.

The only thing that I can think of is that there are a lot of lymph nodes in that area, and Lyme will cause issues with lymphatic drainage. I haven't experienced lumps, but I have had muscle spasms that will center in the arm pit area.

I am wishing you the best with your test results, please keep us posted.

Thank you it means so much to hear that from someone even someone I don't know... I have read these boards for over a year! I'm glad I finally joined. My first thought was Lymph nodes no big deal and my doctor told me he was pretty positive it wasn't a Lymph node. I'm staying positive it is benign :)

Staying positive is the best thing you can do for yourself. Being truly healthy is the state of mind. Sometimes it seems like our bodies are out of control, but we can always choose how we will deal with what life is throwing at us.

I find that I draw strength from all of the things I've overcome in the past. I also find that as I get older, even though I'm not as energetic as I was 30 years ago, I am more at peace with what ever comes along. In the end, that peace of mind will allow us to feel real health.

I don't know if the two are related, but I have had a number of breast lumps and lumps under my arm pits. Each time I get one, I wait a week to see if it will go away on its own. If it doesn't, then I see my breast specialist. (There is a strong history of breast cancer in my family.) They have always been benign. A few have had to be drained, but that's the worst of it. After being diagnosed with lyme I wondered if the two were connected.

You're doing the right thing by getting it checked!! If you have a lump that needs to be drained, not draining it could lead to a future issue. It's always best to be safe with this stuff. Good luck!!

Thanks for all of the support I had my tests today but since I am so young they wouldn't do the mamo and only took three pictures on the ultra sound where only one was even near the lump. Once again I am very disappointed with my local hospital. The tech left and came right back and told me that the doctor said he wasn't sure but he thinks because of my age it may just be inflamed tissue and since it has only been there a month they want me to wait another 3 weeks and if it doesn't go away "I'm welcome to come back for the mamo." I don't know if I should be happy or angry.

I guess I should also mention that I am 25 and there is a strong history of all kinds of cancer in my family but mostly breast cancer. My mother has fibrocystic breasts and my sister had a very rare form of skin cancer that went 10 yrs undiscovered.

Those were my results the radiologist looks at them right away. I am discouraged that I can't know for sure for yet another month but, I'm sure it's probably just a Lyme symptom and it will go away soon enough. Does anyone have a good lymph node detox? I take L-rain but it doesn't seem to help much. Thanks again

I know it's hard when you don't get answers. Have you seen your LLMD to find out if this could be from Lyme? The regular doctors can send you spinning in circles

No not yet my LLMD is 1000 miles away from where I live so I only see them every 3-4 months. I will call them though and see what they think. Thanks for the advice.

I got a lump in my breast too and after I treated Bartonella and for Lyme it went away . Bartonella can cause breast cancer x
