Total relapse?

Hey All. Long time no see. In case you remember me, I switched my user name from Cr3ativegi** due to Google search stuff cuz I use that for something else with work and didn’t want it popping up.

I have been relatively healthy and considered myself healed and living my normal life except some very minor neuropathy that never resolved.

I think I got Covid last March cuz I had the no smell, no taste and all summer, I had this rapid heart rate into Sept (complete heart evaluation negative).

I do drink occasionally (I’ve since stopped totally). Every time I had even just one glass of wine or drink, I’d wake up like I drank a whole bottle of vodka and hungover for 2 days.

I started having phonic dyslexia in October. I went to a neurologist (brain MRI negative).

In Jan, I started do sit ups and my face and bottoms of my feet would go numb. Cervical MRI revealed some spondylitis. I got the Pfizer vaccine in April and oddly, all of my season allergies disappeared.

The neurologist sent me to a pain doctor and he gave me Cymbalta and gabapentin and meloxicam. After 10 days, I quit because I started having these terrible nerve attacks at night with ringing ears and sharp pain and vibrations.

Last month, I realized my neck was super crunchy and my hands were starting to go a bit numb, ears ringing. I am also having those creepy crawly sensations in my thighs.

So, I said to my husband. “Ya know, doesn’t this seem like 2014 deja vu all over again (Pre-Lyme diagnosis) when I was going to all those doctors and they said nothing was wrong but I had all the “random symptoms in a different spot every month” syndrome that was my life 2-3 years before my mold, Lyme, Bart, EBV treatment.

I don’t have a Lyme doc anymore but I do have a very good DO that helps me and knows my whole story. We decided to do a round of doxycycline. I’ve been on it for a week and my nerves are on fire and I feel like I am dying. Then last night, I started having the burning back sensations and thought Bartonella? This can’t be happening.

So, that’s that. I’m supposed to go to Croatia for 3 weeks on Tuesday and I’m in such a state, I am ready to cancel my trip. honestly my nerves are completely shot. My calves go numb when I sit now.

I know I’m not gonna die tomorrow and could take the trip but the creepy crawlers and when I’m still are very disconcerting. I stopped the doxy last night to see if I feel better today. My usual detox walks aren’t helping and I’m rather floaty headed.

I never had this reaction to doxycycline before so I don’t know what to think.

I’m wondering the same. I forgot to mention I had laser Lipo on my abdomen in November because of this stubborn ring of belly fat. They said it would take 6-12 months to detox the remaining fat pellets. I know mold and toxins are stored in the fat, so maybe I am recirculating them. My usual detox methods aren’t working though.

Two things come to my mind.

1. Possible current mold exposure

Mold exposure suppresses the immune system and wipes out glutathione. Mold could potentially have made you susceptible to COVID and/or triggered a Lyme/co relapse. You could do an ERMI or HERTSMI-2 on the home and workplace or get a Great Plains or Realtime Labs mycotoxin test.

2. COVID could have triggered the relapse. You mentioned some positive effects from the vaccine, which is interesting. Have you considered experimenting with Ivermectin? Take a look at some of the Ivermectin threads. Seems like a simple thing to try. Worth a shot to see if corrects your immune system and gets you recovered again.

It’s used for COVID and long COVID, too. It’s possible COVID is triggering an immune response here.

I’m also having unquenchable thirst and dry mouth.
