I have read many sleep books and the recommendation is to get up at the same time every day. This is something I haven't done in ages except for a shorter time but would like to do it, and it is my highest focus for the moment.
I have been getting up 3 days in a row with an alarm at 06:40. I'm a bit tired and I'm used to waking up from 07-09, but hope that it should change after a while.
Just ordered an analog alarm clock instead of using my phone.
My problems on weekdays are often around eating dinner too late, either because I use the IR-sauna too late, work too late and forget about
the time, or dinner isn't ready. Here I think I will just skip the sauna for the day if it becomes too late. I need about
3 hours from finishing dinner before going to bed, or it affects my sleep a lot.
At weekends it's from staying up later because I can, or after socializing IRL or online.
My plan is to go to bed around 10:30 pm on weekdays and put away screens at about
9 pm. On weekends stay up to max 1 hour later if normal night, and at midnight if I'm drinking with others and stop drinking a bit before.
Then get up at the same time but take a nap instead the day after I have been up later.
When getting up at 06:40 I get a lot of time for a quiet morning with a cold shower and yoga, where schools soon start at 08:00, 08:15 am, or later. Been working on no screen time the first 90 min the last 3 days except for checking my Oura ring and putting on music for yoga (still in flight mode)
Anybody that is successful with this and has some recommendations?
