I'm in a dark place

So for the last four days or so I've been in a really dark place...like waves of depression pour over me and are now lasting most of the day.

I was diagnosed with covid last Wednesday and have been in quarantine ever since. Im sure the isolation isn't helping. Also I still can't taste or smell anything which is making me way more upset than it should. Considering how much lyme has already taken from me, smell and taste should be a minimal worry. But non the less its adding to my "removed from the world" feeling.

But as another factor I started disulfiram at the beginning of the month and know that it can cause psych symptoms. The first three weeks I was taking 62.5 mg mon, wed, fri. This week I'm at 62.5 mg every day.

Yet another factor is I got covid at a time when I'm suppose to be back in school and I have not been able to get into my classroom to prepare. I feel overwhelmed yet no desire to work on stuff for school. Im so affraid I won't be cognitive enough to teach this year.

I called my llmd but her secretary said she can't get back to me until tomorrow.

I need some words of encouragement/advice, whether its about disulfiram experiences or lyme or covid. I just really feel emotionally the worst I have in a long time. The bad thoughts are overwhelming right now.

Can you stop the DSF until you’re completely over the COVID? Are you doing Ivermectin or anything for the COVID?

Hard to say. I would just be concerned about not doing anything to increase cytokines, as that is partly what can make COVID so dangerous.

This is from Dr. MR's website in regards to how many side effects people have on Disulfiram:

"31.3 percent - psychiatric problems like anxiety, depression, hallucinations"

So that's a lot of people with psychiatric symptoms. 1 in 3 people have what you're experiencing right now.
Also, for me personally, the mental side effects started about a month after starting DSF, so that timeline fits yours.

Please be aware that you can transfer your prescription to a different pharmacy.
Even if you handed them the prescription as a paper, you can ask for the paper back.
I did this several times when they didn't have things in stock.
It's your prescription, they don't own it, even if you gave it to them.

Don't know you, but I feel for all of us who are a part of this forum. We are connected because of this disease. With that said, I am praying for you.....and I am a firm believer that God see's and hear's all...and will answer our prayers. The fact that we've found this forum is an answer to prayers. I have seen great improvement due to some protocols found via this forum. It sounds like you are self-aware of why you might be feeling this way. That's good. Continue to rationalize your situation. The situation will improve. Hang in there!

As far as Disulfiram, it is a tough drug to take. It def can mess with your mind. I never had any problems with a dose as low as yours, however, that doesn't mean that issues can't pop up at that dose. I would second thinking about stopping DSF while you have active COVID. Even if DSF isn't contributing to your problem stopping and lessening your anxiety might have a beneficial effect. Make sure you talk to your doc about this and not just internet peoples!

Yeah I've been reading the same in regards to those pharmacies Wisco Woman.
There are pharmacists that are bragging on social media how they aren't filling prescriptions of Ivermectin.
It's really disturbing.

Let me know if you need help getting it filled, there are some pharmacies across the country (US) that allow you to scan your prescription and then they mail you the Ivermectin.

I think it's smart to still take it, even if you are getting better.

I hope you have been giving yourself the rest you needed in these circumstances and that at this point you are on an ascendant curve, away from the spot where the combination of those factors had brought you.

I also got vax and have ivermectin in cases I get covid.

Ivermectin works best if taken early
