I have been very sound sensitive and still have problems but way less than before and recently improved around this.
DNRS improved a lot around my sensitivities.
General improvement of health lowered it.
Then I have been doing exercises from this book that should help with part of the vagus nerve that is connected to sound sensitivities, and now I'm able to take the dishes without noise-canceling headphones.
