i am no expert - and in fact few people are when it comes to hormones - including endocrinologists!
but there are many types of steroids - i believe its the type of steroids that operate the corticosteroid system that have immune suppressing effects that you need to be careful of in lyme - high cortisol suppresses immune function.
I don't think DHEA is in that class - and in fact it looks like DHEA actually lowers cortisol it seems
i used DHEA when my fatigue from lyme and co was at its worst - i think it helped a little . i cant remember where the recommendation came from -i think possibly Buhner
