A few months ago, I started having hair loss in the top right side of my scalp. It wasn't typical male pattern baldness, and I have more hair than most men my age. Since I didn't know if it, possibly, was caused by Lyme or Sjogrens Syndrome, I started looking up ways to help.
On the Sjogrens site, I noticed a good number of people had success stopping or re-growing hair with Jamaican Black Castor Oil. Though skeptical, I figured for the low cost, it was worth a try. Started using it a month ago, and I can tell you there is now little hair loss and, it seems, my hair is thicker. Supposedly, it helps with blood flow to the scalp.
I can assure you when you rub it into your scalp, it feels oily at first, and you don't want to go anywhere something covering your head. Usually, I put it on every other day at about 6:00 pm, so it will dry some before going to bed. I do put an extra pillow case on my pillow, but it still doesn't show much since I let it dry well before laying down.
Who knows? Maybe I'll start losing hair again tomorrow, but so far, so good. No guarantees, but for the price, not much of a risk. The one I bought is called Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil, and I paid about $8.00 for it. I still have more than half the bottle as a little goes a long way.
There may be better versions of it, but I just guessed at one on Amazon.
