yes i have done abx - i tried about 12montsh of doxycycline with rifampicin and azithromycin combined for a good portion of that time - symptoms worsened for around 6-8 weeks then very gradually improved somewhat - but not near remission - just measurably more energy and clearer head
other things have in fact helped me more - like
-lifestyle changes - especially working on an exercise program and my sleep
-ketogenic diet - this was the biggest single thing that has helped
-a comprehensive herbal program - based mainly on Buhner's lyme and bart books
my experience with antibiotics taught me it wasn't going to be a quick fix
and i was moderately sensitive and so could not tolerate antimicrobial herbs and still function - so i started with the mainly anti-inflammatory and immune modulating herbs for 6-12 months first - then gradually introduced the antimicrobial ones - targeting bart and co-infections - still reacted strongly so had to go v slowly
am now around 60% recovered - still have symptoms - but am able to do a lot more
i have not tried Jernigan's stuff - i personally do not see anything very convincing there.
anything with vague talk of resonant frequencies and religious overtones has big red flags to me
and his/her site reads as mumbo jumbo designed to attract and take advantage of the desperate.
eg
"Through Bio-Resonance scanning (learn more here), we are able to identify the specific frequencies of a wide spectrum of infections, diseases, toxins, parasites, and many other common health irritants. Once identified, we are able to formulate our herbal extracts to match these frequencies in a way that will provide the body with the bio-information it needs to facilitate its own energetic antimicrobial, detoxification, & other control systems. As this kind of progress grows, the symptoms fall away. So essentially, it is not only a formula of herbs, but also of frequencies that work hand-in-hand with God’s design of the human body,....."
i do not have a monopoly on the truth though - so this is just my opinion
I get a bit weary just thinking about
this. I’ve only just started treating Lyme and Co for about
4 months, but I’ve been doing immune treatments, antimicrobial, antifungal, anti inflammatory, etc..for years now. But Lyme is its own monster and feels like there are years and years left ahead of me *if* God grants me any healing through these treatment attempts.
I can’t go full keto because of my hormones but I go as low carb as possible and it does make a difference in some ways.
I was skeptical of the Jernigan herbs, given their very certain claims to bring wellness. I’ve been trying neuro antitox for a month, now, and haven’t noticed anything, positive or negative. Lymogen made me really tired, that’s all.
