I have an appointment on 7/12 I know the regular written report shows severe atrophy in multiple areas of the brain? I am very frightened.
good luck with the appointment Sdarrah.
try not to focus too much on the negative implication of scans etc
they rarely tell the whole story
i once watched with fascination as a sergeant in the UK armed forces back from the Falkland's war was interviewed on the Wogan show - they guy had been shot in the head and lost 1/3 or his brain - but was there on TV giving an interview and doing an impressive job of being a raconteur.
seriously i wished i could tell a story and engage an audience as well as this guy with only 2/3rds of a brain
he walked with a stick - but clearly was able to enjoy life
even normal healthy adults lose around 25% of their grey and white matter in the brain as we age - and again most are able to enjoy life.
The brain is an amazing organ and has tremendous plasticity so do not lose hope.
