CIRS and Dr A.H.

I don't post that often as things have been relatively stable with little improvement or worsening.

I just recently moved and while assured that there were no mold and having had a previous tenant that was "crazy" about mold i decided to move in. Since moving in I've felt much worse, however the stress of moving van also be a pretty big factor.

Anyway, all this has really just renewed might desire for answers. I thought I would look into a certified Shoemaker DR since I've tried LLMDs and have failed the VCS test and had previous CIRS markers. It seems like Dr AH is very well known in the community and his office is about 15 minutes away so i reached out to make an appointment. I just found out what he charges and I'm blown away....

I'm used to expensive treatment since I've been going to LLMDs for 5-6 years now, but this seems INSANE. My question is does anyone have experience with Dr A.H. in nothern Virginia and secondly can this be worth it? It just seems like a scam when the cost is this high. Should I try a lesser known shoemaker certified practitioner?

You join for a year and there are a few options but it's around $20 000 for the year and it's for an appointment every 4-6 weeks. I believe it also includes some of the treatments and supplements, but not sure. You can go with the other doctor in his office and that's about $750 for the initial consult, not sure what the cost is after that.

I'm not sure I'd place a high premium on Shoemaker certification when so many environmental illness docs are moving away from Shoemaker's protocols (while of course still honoring what he did for the study and treatment of mycotoxin illness). There are much cheaper specialists who work with Neil Nathan and others that I'd trust more, personally. Maybe one of the clinicians listed through the ISEAI? https://iseai.org/
