Never say their names and never mention that this group hired a Mossad Kroll linked intelligence firm to gather data from its victims.

I'm at a loss for Girlie's ability to login but not post. Hopefully someone will have some suggestions for her.

i am also noticing that if i am on the PC ( windows 10 and chrome)
in any post, and click the drop down in the top banner called "support forums"
the list of all healingwell forums drops down

now, if i click on any of those it takes me to their main posts listing page - and the url is in the old format
eg for MS its https://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=32

however, if i click on the " Lyme disease" option in the drop down
my browser displays this link as the old style url
https://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30

but this url is then automatically changed or redirected to the new forum link -
https://www.healingwell.com/community/lyme-disease-30/
which does not load - and i get the 404 error message

this redirection does not happen if i am using the phone (ios and chrome) and the old style main lyme page loads fine

Girlie - if you are reading this - try using the "new topic" button at the top of any open thread - as i can post using that - even though i cannot access the Lyme forum main page on my PC

Or, perhaps clearing browser cache and cookies? (Doing so will log you out and require you to login again.)

bit wary of doing that as i think i might have trouble logging in again - think the old forum may want the old password (the one in use before the reset - whatever that was - my browser is updated with the new one )

that fixes the issue of not being able to load the main posts listing page in the lyme forum
but as expected - i cannot post without logging in again - and that seems to want the old password - as the new one doesn't seem to work

does anyone know if the password reset link is working again - girlie reported that it wasn't working a day or so ago

Everything is back to normal for me as of today - login, URL for Lyme forum, etc. - both on my ancient Mac and my Windows 10 PC, both using Chrome.

I believe I re-registered last week when the site prompted me to, but I did so with the same username and password as before.

This is something that the new owners mentioned in their webinar with the moderators - that everyone would have to re-register but could keep their usernames and passwords (provided no one happened to request the exact same username first!).

Why do we even need a new forum? What's wrong with phpBB?

quick update from me

i was logged out today and unable to log bck in to post

tried resetting password via the link on the login page - no emails arrived - so that function is down

however i just found my old password - ie the one i used to use for this ( old forum )site before changing it to something new for the new site when we were all asked to reset it to login

by using the old password i am now able to log in to this site - and everything is working normally as far as i can see

so for anyone who is stuck logged out - if you can find your old password ( the one you used before you changed to access the new site ) you should be able to log in with that

yep - that's why you have had no log in problems astro
we are all on the old site right now - and you are still using your original password - on the original site - hence the smooth sailing

those who changed their password - especially if they changed it to something different - or simply do not remember what their password to the old (this) site - are the ones having issues.

i have sent an email to the admin alerting them to the issue and potential loss of membership - and asking that they publish an update on the migration - which i imagine they care about as its what drives their revenue -
I did get an automated response - but i am not holding out much hope of anything more
will post if i do get any updates

yep - a lot of us are confused about why things have been done the way they have been done

there was a new forum briefly - the posts were migrated - but users were required to reset their passwords to log on ( this resulted in many people losing track of what their old passwords were)

that new style forum was only up for a day or so - then was taken down - presumably for some further work to make it function properly - which is why the link to its address gives 404 error

in the mean time the old style forum seems to have been put back online - at its old address - and links on the healing well front page point to this now - so essentially everything is now working as it was before the new forum materialised

since then we have no updates to let us know what to expect to happen next

i would say its a common thing for migrations such as this to run into issues no-one foresees and it to then take some time to find solutions

there are probably valid reasons why things were done as they were - requiring users to reset passwords etc - but i am not in the information flow to know what they were

there were no messages as such to reset passwords - if you didn't try to log onto the new site when it was up briefly - if you did i think it just said the password was invalid and you needed to use the reset password link

the thing that is harder to figure is the lack of communication since things went off the original track
hard to see a good reason for that

maybe they simply do not know how to fix it or how long it will take - so cannot really advise till its done ??
perhaps they think there is little / no impact if the old site is operational
but unfortunately a lot of people are locked out as they don't know their old passwords

yep - its a valuable resource - i checked when the new site was up - and all our old threads seemed to be there - but with the address line in the new format - so it looks like the plan is for that to happen.
for instance - the bartonella / babesia / microscopy thread was

note the "/lyme-disease-30/" in the url - which is the address format of the new forum

which of course gives a 404 error at the moment
