Can bruising be part of a herx?

Babesia and parasites are known to cause bruising. Are you doing treatment for either of those right now?

Are you taking any meds, herbs, or supplements that thin the blood?

I used to get frequent spontaneous bruising on arms, legs, and torso, and also thought it was caused by babs. They then changed to ruptured blood vessels causing a red-ish brown rash just under the upper layer of skin, and occasionally bleeding. The spontaneous bruising become less frequent, but my LLMD believed at the time that we were fighting an abx resistant stain of Babs

We then switched to a bart protocol and most sx and issues improved considerably. So maybe Bart was the cause all along. It seems that Bart likes to live in blood capillaries casing both skin conditions. I'll try to find a link to a web site where I posted pictures of these bruises and blood rashes.

In my opinion I think they are caused by an active infection. My rashes and bruising usually flare-up after an extended break from ABX. I went to Italy for a wedding on the last week of May. I stopped all abx (except Alinia) and Buhner herbs, and most supplements to minimize getting flagged in TSA security and customs.
When I got back I restarted everything and within a day or so my forearms and biceps erupted with bruising and burst vessels. I could be wrong and it may be from die-off.

I get yellow bruises on my legs whenever im on abx. If i take zithro the yellow bruises are even more stronger in color and size.

Over the past few weeks I have acquired many bruises on my legs and some on my arms. They are very blue/purple and I dont remember bashing my body on anything. I dont live a very active lifestyle anymore so I dont think I'm getting hurt. Does anyone think/know that this is a herx reaction?

I’ve been treating for Bart for a while and I’m getting better for sure. I noticed a few bruises on my legs with a few dots. My thought is it’s a herx. I increased some herbs cryptolepis and black walnut. I think the pathogens sometimes leave the body through the skin ( this is my opinion) and it can leave a herx reaction, thus bruising or rashes etc.

my partner had this spontaneous bruising thing also

i saw it happen in front of my eyes one time - it was a little burst blood vessel under the skin that gradually spread and caused the bruise - sometimes there was pain associated - often none

both lyme and bart - and to some extend Babesia all cause damage to the blood vessels - and this can weaken them causing them to burst randomly - so i think this is a common thing with these infections. and probably other infections too - rickettsia and Brucella are very similar

so i think it can happen at any time - but is perhaps more likely when experiencing herx-like reactions as inflammation is higher at that point and so damage could be higher.

in my partners case there was visible scaring to veins at the back of here knee - that collapsed and had gone white and scared along the veins there.

perhaps its more common in some individuals than others
as far as i know i do not have any of this effect - despite haing the same infections - and as far as i know only had the spontaneous bruise thing one time
