I want to chime in that physical activity is supposed to be highly protective for the brain, so your lifelong level of physical activity is really fantastic. Do you do anything else that is supposed to forestall the onset of dementia, like crossword puzzles?
I don’t do crossword puzzles, but in addition to my regular job I also do side mechanical work in my home shop which requires a lot of thought and planning to take things apart and put them back together, In addition to fixing the problem.
But I’m sure I won’t be doing the above forever so I should probably find something a little more indoor snd age friendly like crossword puzzles. Video games would probably be more my style, but that’s more reaction skill versus spatial skill.
Funny thing is my lyme and Hashimoto brain does feel a lot more clear at night or anytime after I’ve done physical work or exercise. In this case tonight, the customer was also a past acquaintance, and I was amazingly naming off past names we both knew decades ago very easily. This morning, I would not have been able to do that.
Thinking clearly before noon is not a skill I have. When I do have word and memory recall problems it’s usually before noon.
