I found this discussion on yarrow interesting, as I have never used it nor seen it. I looked it up to read more about
its medicinal use. One herbal site
https://www.almanac.com/yarrow-and-its-medicinal-uses-healing-garden-herb says: “Yarrow is a diaphoretic, meaning she helps us sweat. So she helps the body detox through sweat when needed, including when we are experiencing fever.”
Having read that, I am thinking the sweating may not be a babesia herx at all and may have nothing to do with indicating a babesia infection by causing sweating.
Edit:
The same reference also mentions this: “She helps to stimulate and move the lymph in the body, which can help move toxins through the system, dispel extra water being held in the body and overall keep our internal waters flowing.”
That is probably why you had painful lymph nodes. The yarrow is stimulating lymph to move, and you may be getting clogged up, if your lymph has not been moving as rapidly before taking it.
If someone is not able to sweat normally and/or has slow lymph movement, then yarrow could stimulate those actions to get people unstuck in those areas.
