I thought I’d try this for a restful mind before bed. Well, it works too good.
I guess this falls under the nootropics category that started to become a thing in itself around six years ago. Before that word started being thrown around, gaba had been out there a long time.
What I am referring to is just straight direct GABA. It’s more commonly found in higher doses between 500 to 750mg. I tried a sample of that years ago from a private functional doctor. It was way too much. Was like a tranquilizer lol.
Since they offer it in such a large size, It obviously has less of an effect on most people than it does to me. I wonder why this is?
So I thought I’d try it again at a much smaller dose. 100 mg was the smallest dose i recently found and It’s still a little too strong. I take it at night before bed and even at this low amount It’s noticeable for a full 12 hours which goes into the next workday.
Now I’m going to try to
open up the capsules and use half of it before bed.
Anyone have experience with the stuff or understand better how it works?
I have read other comment sections of other people using this say the general thought is if this works on you too easily, then your brain blood Barrier is somehow compromised. I would think anyone with a compromised blood brain barrier would be almost dead? I doubt this is the answer.
I will be taking less tonight because I actually wanna do things Saturday without needing to pound coffee throughout the whole morning!
Maybe I will once again take a full 100 mg capsule Saturday night just as an experiment to see how long I will sleep into Sunday morning.
