Whoa! Thanks so much Garzie for the time you’ve taken in that response! I really appreciate it.
Some really interesting and enlightening information there.
Something that’s just happened today, I’ve been referred to an infectious diseases consultant by another GP at my local practice. Very honestly is would seem, he told me that GPs don’t know anything about Lyme so I’d need to go somwhere else. This was after the original GP said I couldn’t have Lyme.
I’ve been referred to a Dr Darius Armstrong-James in the London Clinic. He does seem to have experience with Lyme. (If there’s anyone here who has any experience with him I’d be grateful for some feedback.)
I’ve been treating with Herbs with little to no improvement, I do get days where I don’t feel as bad but the twitching is driving me mad at the moment. I’ve had an eye twitch for months now and I can’t wait for a day off.
Hey Scott I think he'll be a bit more
open to lyme disease. I used to speak to a gentleman that attended the London clinic for numerous lyme related treatments. Dr Berkowitz used to be the doctor he saw.
He'll probably be sympathetic to your plight and will probably diagnose you or give you abx given what you've told us here, having recalled a bite and well, if your knee is swollen and edematous it will probably point him to a clinical diagnosis, along with your test.
I went to Breakspear in Hemel Hempstead, they diagnosed me clinically based on my symptoms and history growing up surrounded by ticks with multiple bites. Garzie has outlined the issues with respect to the testing. Anyhow, I said "if it is indeed lyme" because you need to think critically and not hyperfocus on lyme, but it sounds very much like it is.
After treating lyme for several years with very little progress, I gave up but I still stick around for useful information and to help people like yourself. I shared the UK/EU doctors list with another gentleman recently.
There's a multitude of pathogens that ticks pass, bartonella, babesia, borrelia, chlamydia p, to name a few. They all cause havoc that can be treated with herbs and with antibiotics. It can be really difficult but in that time I've seen many people get better, I speak to a DJ/Producer who travels about
Europe now and she was doing really poorly about
4 years ago.
Here's under our skinThere's also a great doctor in Dublin, Dr J Lambert, he
openly puts his name out there and a lot of people from the UK go to see him.
I don't use facebook except for the groups. I use a pseudonym and it's a blank profile basically. I explain this much to the admins. There's a lot of really good info on there, a great deal to sift through though.
Anyhow. Wishing you health and all the best.
