Could someone explain what is the point of retesting for infections if you previously have a positive test result?
As I thought there was no point in retesting because it can’t provide you with any new information, only that you’ve been exposed to the infection which you would already know based off initial testing?
The reason I'm considering it for myself is because I've been sick for so long it would be nice to have current lab evidence of infection before I did something dramatic and aggressive such as Horowitz's Dapsone protocol. For myself, it's mostly a piece of mind thing. However, it is an extremely expensive piece of mind thing! I might not do it because of that reason.
Personally, I have never, let me repeat for emphasis, NEVER been in remission since the tick bite that caused my illness nine years ago. That's an unfortunate reality of mine lol. I'm confident I still have chronic tick borne illness but it'd be nice to get an updated piece of evidence before I take on one of these crazy protocols that are tough to bear.
