sporadic numbness, tingling, burning, pins and needles, stabbing sensations etc that seems to occur in different parts of the body - is one of the common symptoms of Lyme disease - esp chronic lyme
where exactly it occurs is pretty random - depending on which nerves are involved - and as above - this tends to move around over time
This is pretty much what my experience has been like. In the beginning, it was the back half of my scalp/head and various areas of the face. Later, I had both arms and hands going numb simultaneously. After symptoms went full-blown (6 years later), I experienced widespread numbness, tingling, stabbing, bug crawling, twitching, etc.
I have been pretty stable for a few years now, but I still have some numbness. I often don’t notice it until I touch that part of my body and realize it’s more numb than other parts.
Lyme and bartonella do this big-time, IMO.
