I had bad bad insomnia related to the same issues you are talking about. Klonopin does the trick, but you don't really want to be on benzos long term if you can help it. Lyrica (generic Pregabalin) does the trick for me. Occasionally, when I'm in a bad flare, even Lyrica won't work but most the time it does. In addition, limiting stimulation seems to help. Don't use your phone in bed. Something like meditation right before sleep helps me. Still, most nights I need help form Lyrica. Lyrica is only mildly habituating compared to benzos.
From the natural route I have seen recommendations for things such as L-theanine, Valerian root, melatonin, etc. I tried L-theanine and melatonin in the past but found I needed Lyrica.
