self treating Lyme is a challenge -
its s steep learning curve - as there is so much to learn - so i would advocate finding an recognised LLMD if you are at all able - this often has quite a high expense
but its important to also account for the expense of not earning for several years as the real cost on the other side of the equation.
here are some sites with a LLMD search function
project lyme
https://projectlyme.org/resource/how-to-find-a-doctor/lyme disease.org
https://www.lymedisease.org/find-lyme-literate-doctors/registered ILADS doctors
https://www.ilads.org/patient-care/provider-search/if you have given it careful though and are still committed to self treating - most of the well known LLMDs have books or videos or good websites with good information including protocols - which are a good place to start
Buhner's book - healing lyme - second edition - is excellent - it includes a good deal of information on the mechanisms of the disease and focusses on herbal treatments.
another highly recommended book is by a LLMD - Richard Horowitz "How can i get better" - which is also excellent - but focussed on more pharmaceutical approaches - antibiotics
there is also a very good grounding in diagnosis and treatment of lyme and coinfections in Dr Burrascano's ILADS treatment guidelines - which are available free to download here - this is not a full book - so less intimidating and as such a good place to start
http://www.lymenet.org/burrguide200810.pdfantibiotics can be purchased at affordable prices from a number of sources ( a search on here will find multiple threads and sources ) - if you have relatives in Mexico that would certainly be an option - in most countries its entirely legal to purchase abroad and bring into the country for personal use.
keep in mind that for many people it is not just a case of popping a bunch of pills or potions and being cured - things like
-diet
-lifestyle
-stress management
-sleep
are usually equally important - if not essential - to help your body fight the infection and recover
as with any medication - you should also at the very least familiarise yourself with the dosing, contra indications, side effects and interactions data before embarking - sites like
https://www.drugs.com/doxycycline.html are available for this
i hope its of some help
