I can't really comment too deeply on dementia. I'm not very knowledgeable in it. I'm sure you know way more than me. Other than seeing a doctor who can specialize in that realm I would just live in way which can mitigate the risks of dementia. It sounds like you are already doing that.

I'm ignorant about these specific genes, however, I do know genes, in general, can only tell you about the risks of acquiring certain diseases versus the certainty of acquiring a disease. In fact, if my memory serves me, I think I remember reading that there is literally very few diseases that are guaranteed in the presence of one gene. Genes work in tandem. Rarely they work alone. I say that while also admitting I know nothing about those genes you mention.

My grandma had dementia and I got to spend some time with her when it was late stage. This was over a decade ago, but I still remember since it was so unique. Of course, it was sad to see, but, in a tragic comedy type of way that only existence can provide it seemed to me that much of the time she was unaware of her circumstance. She would often be humming and singing under her breath seemingly blissfully unaware of her surroundings. That is not to try to downplay dementia. Obviously it's an awful disease, but that is just what I noticed.

For the past few weeks or so I started to have difficulty with pronouncing some words.
For instance when I was talking to the Pharmacist I said “perscription” instead of “prescription”
Then I did it again with other words - my husband noticed it and pointed it out. I was embarrassed.

So i decided to not worry over it - and it has resolved.

It may just resolve on its own for you too.

But I also forget words and have to replace them with the next best word and have daily struggles remembering peoples names. This is something that has been building up for years. Not a short term thing, and not normal.

I may just go to a functional medicine Doctor who deals with some of this stuff and is out of the general healthcare network, so the information will not be shared. That also means I pay the full cost, but you only live once.

I would make absolutely certain not harboring a uti (or other infection), men don't have pain. Symptom - trouble emptying bladder. Results in dementia/alzheimers.

Rapamycin shows neural/mental promise, I'm using 1mg weekly, maybe helps with tick borne disease also. I'm using it to try to get my immune system going again. mTor autophagy, telomere repair.

Lumbrokinase and beet root, opens up the micro capillaries, may reduce blood pressure. I use as part of tick borne protocol.
Anecdotal story - my wife had very high bp, had a terrible cough from the pharamceuticals. Started using the lumbrokinase and beet root and 6 months later her bp is normal. Thinks her memory improved.
